Sally North

WorkSafe Commissioner
WorkSafe

Sally North is the WorkSafe Commissioner, greatly valuing the opportunity to make a difference to the community through WorkSafe’s education, inspections, investigations, legal and regulatory support teams and through collaborating with stakeholders.

Sally has led a WorkSafe directorate including specialist teams on human factors and ergonomics, asbestos, occupational hygiene, plant and engineering, and industry groups covering the public sector and related industries, and the retail and service industries. She has also acted as the Deputy WorkSafe Commissioner and is involved in state and national committees and working groups on work health and safety.

Sally has qualifications in chemistry, OSH, occupational hygiene and business administration.

Jennifer Low

Deputy WorkSafe Commissioner
WorkSafe

Jennifer Low joined WorkSafe in 2025 as Deputy WorkSafe Commissioner, bringing extensive experience in regulatory policy, workplace health and safety, and strategic leadership. In this role, she supports the Commissioner in the achievement of WorkSafe and DEMIRS objectives and the development and delivery of work health and safety services in Western Australia.

Previously, Jennifer was the Director of Health, Safety, Resilience & Digital Policy at the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where she led national advocacy efforts on WHS, workers’ compensation, and regulatory reform. She has also served on several national boards including Safe Work Australia and the Asbestos and Silica Safety and Eradication Council as well as the Commission for Work, Health and Safety in WA. Jennifer is committed to improving workplace safety through evidence-based policy and genuine stakeholder collaboration.

Jennifer holds qualifications in psychology, governance, training, and occupational health and safety and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and Chair of the Sleep Health Foundation.

Tony Robertson

Director WorkSafe Mines Safety

Tony Robertson began his career with WorkSafe as an Inspector in 1998, following extensive experience working in general industries and the mining industry in Western Australia. As the current Director of WorkSafe Mines Safety, Tony oversees the enforcement and compliance activities conducted by WorkSafe Mines Safety Inspectors throughout the state’s resources sector. His previous roles include serving as the Regional Inspector of Mines for the South and East Inspectorate regions, and prior to that he led the South Team based in Collie.

As part of his career with the department Tony has investigated numerous serious workplace injuries and fatalities. His experience in industry and as an Inspector has equipped him with a deep understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulatory requirements, both in general workplaces and the mining sector. He is committed to improving safety outcomes for workers through collaboration with industry stakeholders and peak bodies.

Tony holds several leadership and Work Health and Safety qualifications, including a Bachelor of Health Science in Safety Science and Occupational Health.

Iain Dainty

Director WorkSafe Petroleum Safety and Dangerous Goods
WorkSafe

Iain Dainty comes from a strong safety regulatory background and is the Director WorkSafe Petroleum Safety and Dangerous Goods in Western Australia. He also has significant regulatory and compliance experience in explosives and general workplace environments, having more than 25 years’ experience in the business.

As a regulator his focus is on safety management and holding people and organisations accountable for their commitments to that safety. He manages three teams that believe in educating and informing; a carrot rather than stick approach. He is not afraid of change or implementing change and struggles with the concept that we only do things in a particular way simply because that’s the way we have always done it.

Iain holds a number of Work Health and Safety diploma and certificate qualifications and has an MSc in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management from Leicester University (UK).

Robyn Parker

Executive Director Regulatory Support
WorkSafe

Robyn Parker currently acting in the position of Executive Director Regulatory Support Division, is an experienced Service Delivery Executive with a passion for ensuring WorkSafe’s services and presence in the community contribute to WorkSafe’s The Way Forward Strategy 2023-25. Robyn began her career in the public sector in 2006, joining the WorkSafe team for the purpose of establishing a customer centric, multidisciplinary team responsible for the delivery of all of WorkSafe’s frontline customer and regulatory support services, including the former WorkSafe Customer Help Centre, Licensing Centre, Inspector Development and Training, and Business Support team.

Over her 11 year career with WorkSafe, Robyn lead a raft of transformative changes, including the successful change management and restructure of the business unit to ensure a successful transition from a state-based Certificate of Competency system to a national High Risk Work Licensing regime as part of COAG reform. During this time, Robyn was a long standing West Australian representative on a national policy advisory group coordinated by SafeWork Australia, accountable for delivering harmonised Policy and Legislative reform in relation to Occupational Health and Safety Licensing, including the development and implementation of the Model Workplace Health and Safety Act and Regulations across a range of areas.

Eve Speyers

Acting Director WorkSafe Service Industries and Specialists
WorkSafe

Eve Speyers joined the Department as a WorkSafe inspector in 2008 after working in OHS internationally and in Australia as an occupational hygienist.

After focusing primarily on WorkSafe investigations and then as Principal Scientific Officer, Eve has recently taken up the position of Acting Director for the WorkSafe Service Industries and Specialists Directorate. This encompasses both specialist inspectorate teams (asbestos, human factors and ergonomics, occupational hygiene and plant and engineering) as well as industry teams covering public sector and related industries and retail and service industries.

She has a passion for improving health and safety outcomes in WA workplaces and making a positive contribution to transforming the landscape through an improved approach.

Jaime Rebelo

Director WorkSafe Industrial and Regional
WorkSafe

Jaime Rebelo is the WorkSafe Director for Industrial and Regional Industries Safety, and oversees the enforcement efforts of WorkSafe across the construction, manufacturing, transportation, aquaculture and agricultural sectors in WA. He aims at making a difference through his role and seeks opportunities to collaborate with all relevant stakeholders in driving cultural change in safe work practices. Jaime is involved in state and national committees and working groups on work health and safety matters.

Jaime joined the WorkSafe team in early 2023, bringing a variety of experience from within the regulatory framework in the role of chief inspector and director for the occupational safety and health regulator in Brunei prior to coming to Australia; enforcing OSH legislative requirements across all workplaces; as well as dealing with marine logistics and health and safety matters in the oil and gas industry in Brunei. He spent his early years as a mariner, having been a master mariner on LNG Carriers with Shell before moving into onshore roles.

Jaime has qualifications in nautical sciences, OSH, and business administration. He has a poetry book published in his name.

Joseph Lee is the Director WorkSafe Investigations and has responsibility for leading the serious workplace injury and fatality investigation function and the WorkSafe Triage Team. The Investigation Directorate performs its functions across the mining and general industries.

Joseph has been with WorkSafe Investigations for six years. Joseph has extensive investigative leadership experience through a variety of previous government roles including as a Director within the former Labour Relations Division.

Andrea Crichton-Browne

General Counsel - Safety, Resource and Environment Regulation
WorkSafe

Andrea Crichton-Browne leads the WorkSafe Legal team which prosecutes workplace safety offences and provides legal advice to the Commissioner and officers across WorkSafe. Andrea has appeared as counsel in several land-mark safety prosecutions and advised upon significant policy initiatives including the development of the Work Health and Safety Act in Western Australia.

Prior to entering government Andrea practised law as a partner of a leading medical negligence law firm. Andrea has also spent time representing clients in employment law and equal opportunity matters. With a long-standing commitment to social justice, Andrea enjoys using her leadership and legal skills to improve workplace safety in Western Australia.
