WorkSafe invites all health and safety representatives (HSRs) to join our new ‘Lunch and Learn’ program.

Each month, we present on a topic of interest to you, plus ample time for questions. At only 45 minutes long, it fits into a lunch break or a toolbox session.

Our next session kicks off at 12.00 noon on Thursday 16 July. Your psychosocial questions will be answered by Psychosocial Inspectors Sam Lee, Terence Chia and Justine McGillivray. Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance via Slido using the code #HSRLandL, allowing our inspectors to provide the responses during the session.

Once you have completed your registration, you will receive an email containing the link to access the webinar.

Know the speakers

Justine McGillivray

Justine is an organisational psychologist and co-founder and previous National President of the Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology Australia. Justine has extensive experience in applying human factors to health and safety at work. Justine is the Principal Inspector – Human Factors at WorkSafe Dangerous Goods and Petroleum Safety. She is leading the Human Factors Capability Strategy which is a multi-year strategic plan aimed at building internal and external capability within major hazard facilities, petroleum and geothermal energy operations.

Terence Chia

Terence is a Principal Scientific Inspector at WorkSafe WA, specialising in the regulation of psychosocial hazards. He is a registered psychologist and holds a PhD in Organisational Behaviour. Terence has extensive experience in psychosocial risk management, workplace investigations, and the practical application of work health and safety legislation. His work focuses on helping organisations identify, assess and manage psychosocial hazards through a systems-based approach that considers work design, organisational factors, and workplace culture.

Sam Lee

Sam Lee is currently acting Team Leader of the Psychosocial Team within WorkSafe Mines Safety. She has been a Psychosocial Inspector with WorkSafe WA since 2019 and is also an Organisational Psychologist. Sam and her team conduct inspections and enquiries with mining operations across WA, in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act and Mining Regulations.
